The 2026 MBAA Scholarship is open for Applicants!
Through the generous support of our members & sponsors, we have been able to award multiple scholarships each year!
Scholarships typically range from $2,000 – $5,000. To date, MBAA has awarded over $75,000 in scholarships!

Qualifications
In order to qualify, a student must be either
A Massachusetts resident
OR
Currently attending a training institution within Massachusetts
AND
Meet ONE of the following criteria:
- Enrolled in an aviation-related undergraduate program with rising sophomore status or higher in the Fall semester and a minimum of 3.2 GPA
- Enrolled in an aviation-related graduate program with a minimum 3.2 GPA
- Enrolled in an FAA approved flight school pursuing a Commercial, ATP or Flight Instructor certificate
- Enrolled in an FAA part 147 certified Airframe & Powerplant school, and have a minimum 3.2 GPA
- Enrolled in a Cabin Attendant course
- Enrolled in AT-CTI program for Air Traffic Controllers, and have a minimum 3.2 GPA

- Submission of Scholarship Application via the link below
- A copy of the Applicant’s college transcript or accredited flight/maintenance school records
- A copy of the Applicant’s Airman’s Certificate (if applicable)
- Copy of the Applicant’s Driver’s License or Passport
- Personal Essay. Please highlight your interest in pursuing a career in Business Aviation
- Resume
- At least one letter of recommendation from a person who can speak to your achievements and/or interest in aviation

Evaluation of scholarship applications will be benchmarked entirely on merit. We encourage applicants to use the essay to communicate your passion for aviation, and your specific interest in a career in Business Aviation. Special consideration will be given to those students with previous experience in Business Aviation and/or those who are considering a career in the industry. The scholarship funds will be paid directly to the institution, to be used only for tuition, books, fees, and training costs.
